Understanding Mazda service costs in Australia

Mazda petrol and diesel models in Australia are serviced every 12 months or 15,000 km, whichever comes first; the electric Mazda 6e and CX-6e every 12 months or 20,000 km. This page lists the price of each scheduled service for every current model, grade and engine, with what each service replaces and inspects.

Prices are listed for the first five services of the smaller models and the first seven of the CX-60, CX-70, CX-80, CX-90, BT-50 and the electric models.

Why prices step up

Every petrol and diesel service changes the engine oil and filter. Larger services add brake fluid (every second service on most models, every third on the BT-50), the cabin air filter, the engine air filter, spark plugs or, on diesels, the fuel filter, which is why prices alternate between smaller and larger services.

Items on their own schedule

Some items are not part of a numbered service: engine coolant is first replaced at 200,000 km or 10 years on most models, and the BT-50 3.0L diesel lists a fuel filter replacement when required. Each is shown with its own price under the service schedule.

Grades share prices

All grades with the same engine and drive share one price list, so a CX-5 Pure and a CX-5 Akera cost the same to service. The grades covered by each price list are shown with it.
