BMW petrol and diesel cars in India get one scheduled service a year, at about 8,000 km or 1 year, whichever comes first; the electric models (i5 Long Wheelbase, i5 M60 xDrive, i7, i7 M70, iX and iX1 Long Wheelbase) get one every two years. This table covers 21 models and 27 versions and shows what a year's service costs and what the first 5 years add up to. Each job is priced with its parts and labour together, GST included, and one estimate applies across India.
Over 5 years the lowest total in the table is ₹29,731 (iX1 Long Wheelbase iX1 eDrive20L) and the highest is ₹3,66,514 (M8 Competition Coupé). The M2 Competition, M4 CS, M4 Competition and M8 Competition Coupé also have a running-in check at 2,000 km in the first year, priced separately.

BMW cars tell you when a service is due through Condition Based Service, an on-board monitoring system that warns in advance when a service is due. For planning, the estimates on this page assume one scheduled service a year for petrol and diesel cars, at about 8,000 km or 1 year, whichever comes first, and one every two years for the electric models. Actual intervals depend on how and where the car is driven.
Each job is priced with its parts and labour together and GST is included. The same estimate applies across India. Wear-and-tear parts such as brake pads and discs are not part of the estimate, and neither are AdBlue top-ups on diesel cars.
On petrol and diesel models, every yearly service changes the engine oil and oil filter and includes a standard inspection. In years 2 and 4 the air filter and the microfilter (the cabin air filter) are replaced and the remote key battery is changed; on the X7 the rear air-conditioning microfilter is replaced too. Brake fluid is changed in years 3 and 5.
On the petrol models the year 4 service is the largest, because the spark plugs are replaced along with the filters. On the diesels, the fuel filter is replaced in year 5.
The M2 Competition, M4 Competition, M4 CS, M8 Competition Coupé and XM have their rear differential oil changed in year 1. The M2, M4 and M8 also have a running-in check at 2,000 km in the first year, priced separately.
The iX, iX1, i5 and i7 have no engine oil, spark plugs or engine air filter. Their services replace the microfilter and brake fluid and include a vehicle check, so five years of service cost a fraction of what the petrol and diesel models need.
The car's Condition Based Service system tells you when. For planning, these estimates assume one service a year (about 8,000 km) for petrol and diesel cars and one every two years for electric cars.
